Mini Linen Coin Pouch

A$40.00

Cheeky and irresistible mini linen coin pouches to make you smile! I came up with the design when I was walking my big opinionated dogs who want to run off and do their own thing! With my mini pouch containing doggy poop bags safely looped onto the swivel hook on their collar, both my hands are free to hold their lead with all my might when they try to break loose and freak out the neighbor's horses. Winning!!!

Tiny but super helpful mini pouch for carrying coins, lip balm, doggy poop bags and airpods which can easily connected to your keychain, the dog lead or just squashed into a big pocket. You can also use it around the house as a small storage vessel for jewelry, small change, haberdashery or tiny treasures. Handmade using 100% European flax linen outer and lining, pure wool wadding, metal snaps and solid brass dees.

I've made a few variations:

1 - Aubergine outer with blue/brown/tan checked lining and clasp

2 - Red brown outer with blue/brown/tan checked lining and clasp

3 - Coral red outer with blue/brown/tan checked lining and clasp

4 - Blue/brown/tan checked outer with aubergine lining and clasp

5 - Blue/brown/tan checked outer with red brown lining and clasp

6 Blue/brow/tan checked outer with coral red lining and clasp

I've carefully sourced the highest quality materials that I can find so this product is durable, safe against your skin and environmentally sustainable. The outer and lining fabrics are 100% laundered and Oeko - Tex certified, European flax linens from Merchant and Mills in the UK and the dyes on the cloths are GOTS certified. I sew seams with cotton thread, the batting is pure wool and the dees are solid, sand cast brass. The dees are nice and heavy and I like the way the brass contrasts with the rough, slubby texture of the loose weave linens. These items contain no synthetic fibers which means they will break down quickly in the environment without despoiling the earth for thousands of years or contributing to microplastic pollution. The linens are between 160 and 185 gsm, or a medium dress weight.

Approximate Size

Length including the dee - 11 cms

Bag length - 7 cm

Width - 9 cms

Depth - 3 cms

Washing Instructions

Cool, delicate machine wash using a ph neutral detergent. Lie flat to dry away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry. Linen gradually softens with each wash, do not use fabric softeners because they coat the flax fibers and prevent them from softening naturally. After washing, the cloth will seize up and become coarse, then soften with use. This is not a fault, it's normal for a good quality linen fabric to do this. After washing, polish the brass dee with brass polish, being careful not to get polish on the fabric. Use a white, cotton pressing cloth when ironing to avoid discoloration, or simply enjoy the effortless and poetic lineny creases just as they are!
